Abstract
This paper presents a systematic approach to selecting principles for the repair, protection, and strengthening of high-strength floor structures. The methodology is based on structural inspection results, diagnostic assessments in accordance with national standards (DSTU, DBN), and analytical calculations of residual service life. The study outlines repair and strengthening strategies for concrete and reinforced concrete floors affected by various forms of deterioration, including mechanical damage, physico-chemical degradation, operational wear, and corrosion of reinforcement. The proposed framework includes classification of defects, evaluation of load conditions, assessment of environmental aggressiveness, and determination of root causes of damage. The paper emphasizes the importance of adapting selected repair principles to anticipated operating conditions after restoration, ensuring structural safety, serviceability, and compliance with technical regulations. Practical recommendations highlight methods for extending durability, optimizing maintenance, and reducing life-cycle costs of industrial and civil flooring systems.
